Trying something new

You know the feeling..fed up having the same old meals every week..Me too!
Well thought it was about time i did something about it last week. Ordered some cookery books from Amazon

Anyway found something that looked yummy in the healthy eats book.. sticky maple pork with apples

It was as yummy as we'd hoped
If you like the look and sound of it, here's the recipe..

600g/1lb 5oz pork fillet
1 tbsp olive oil
2 earting apples cored & cut into eighths
1 galic clove, crushed
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tbsp wholegrain mustard

Cut the pork into slices 3cm/1" thick. Heat the oil in a large, non stick frying pan, add pork, then fry on both sides until lightly browned, about 5 minutes in total. Lift out of the pan and set aside.Add the apples to the pan and cook them for 3-4 minutes or until starting to soften.

Stir in the garlic, maple syrup, vinegar and 3 tablespoons of water, bring to the boil, then return the meat to the pan along with any juices. Simmer for a few more minutes, Stiring until the pork is cooked through and the sauce is thick and sticky. Stir in the wholegrain mustard and serve.
